Your right to choose a dentist is important. We work closely with your dentist, but a referral by a dentist is not required to visit our office. We also welcome referrals from patients and friends of the practice.

We are extraordinarily proud of our staff, which is comprised of caring and dedicated professionals. They ensure that your needs are met as efficiently and smoothly as possible.

Our dentists, dental hygienists and staff strive to make your visits with us as comfortable and pleasant as possible. We strongly believe that your patient comfort is an important part of quality dental care.

We are ready to listen to your questions and concerns and to help provide solutions leading to your better health. Don’t hesitate to e-mail (email@northdallasdh.com) or call (214-691-2404) us if you have any questions.

What Is A Periodontist?

periodontist is a dentist who specializes in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of periodontal (gum) disease and in the placement and maintenance of dental implants. Periodontists are experts in the treatment of all forms of periodontal disease, including gingivitis, periodontitis, and gingival recession and have specialized training in placing implants.

The American Dental Association recognizes periodontics as one of the specialties of dentistry. Periodontists receive extensive training, including three years of additional education beyond dental school.

By choosing a specialist you will benefit from the latest procedures for treating periodontal disease and placing dental implants tailored to your needs. In addition, our team of periodontists can perform cosmetic periodontal procedures to help you refresh and beautify your smile.

Drs. Wilson, Wilson and Gorugantula are specialists in periodontics and implantology. These three specialize in conservative, minimally invasive surgical treatment of gum disease including cosmetic procedures to esthetically enhance your smile, as well as dental implants.

What Is An Oral Medicine Specialist?

Oral medicine is a specialty of dentistry concerned with the diagnosis and non-surgical management of complex medical conditions involving the oral and maxillofacial structures. The mouth can be one of the first areas, and sometimes the only area, to show symptoms of some of the systemic and autoimmune condition. As oral health care providers, we have an advantage and responsibility to diagnose these conditions in their early stages, and thus help in the management, making oral medicine a liaison between medicine and dentistry.

The following are some of the conditions that fall under the specialty of oral medicine: problems associated withe the temporo-mandibular joint (TMJ) and muscles of mastication; headaches; chronic pain in the head and neck area; pain associated with nerves in the face and oral cavity; chronic and recurrent ulcers in the mouth; autoimmune conditions involving the oral structures; premalignant and malignant lesions; bacterial, viral and fungal infections; burning and altered sensations in the mouth; dental allergy; dry mouth and salivary gland dysfunction; snoring and sleep apnea.
